
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut with the club and assisted the team win its league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time, was the youngest player in the national squad at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the match against Canada in the 123rd minutes of the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. The 2012 season ended with 28 goalsand 21 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was the FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was named on the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
