
Teri Lynn Hatcher was born December 8, 1964 in Palo Alto, California. Esther Hatcher Her mother was a Lockheed Martin computer programmer. Owen Hatcher, her father was an electrician as well as a nuclear physicist. Teri was born in Sunnyvale and studied ballet at San Juan School of Dance. Fremont High School was where she was the Featherettes dance captain, and was presented with the "Most likely to be the Solid Gold Dancer" award. Hatcher was a graduate of De Anza College, where she took classes in engineering and math. She also took acting classes in San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri acknowledged that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone abused her sexually starting at age 5. She helped Santa Clara County prosecutor with their case against Stone. Stone was responsible for the suicide of a 14-year old victim. Stone was sentenced to prison for four counts of molestation. He passed away from colon cancer while in prison.
